On behalf of both the University of Lincoln and our partners; Just Lincolnshire and the University of Lincoln Students’ Union, I am pleased to invite you to join me at the first Challenging Perceptions Summit on Wednesday 18th October at the Engine Shed, University of Lincoln.

The overall aim of the summit is to bring together key organisations, stakeholder partners and community groups to explore and share how we challenge perceptions and, in doing so, counteract the growing prevalence of hate crime. We will be joined by two high-profile and powerful speakers: John, Lord Bird; and Sylvia Lancaster OBE.

The summit will encourage us all to explore our unconscious bias and address a range of topics to challenge perceptions and the stereotypes that often underpin hate crime.

To best assist the team with the event’s planning could I ask that you make your RSVP by Monday 9th October via the Events Bight link below, where you can also view the full event programme.

Alternatively, should you wish to speak to a member of the team about any aspect, or make specific arrangements for the event please call 01522 886722 to speak with Paulina Babuchowska (Equalities Officer).

I do hope you will be able to join us for the summit and show your support as a community partner.
