We are delighted to announce that JUST Lincolnshire won an EBP Investors in Education 2017 Award in recognition of our exceptional work with schools and young people.
It was specifically for a project with the National Citizen Service (NCS) where we hosted young people for two weeks from 17 July 2017 at our offices in Commerce House, Lincoln. We asked them to look at the effects of hate crime on young people: do they recognise it, can they challenge actions leading to hate crime, what are the barriers to reporting and how can we improve on this. This means that during social action, the young people will utilise the skills they have developed in the earlier phases to create positive change within their own community.
We hope this award is the first of many!
