JUST Lincolnshire have joined with partner organisations, Lincolnshire Police, CPS, Victim Support and the Police and Crime Commissioners Office to put together an event to mark the inaugural annual Stephen Lawrence Day 2019. Our event is being held on Wednesday 8th May 2019 at the Lawns, Lincoln with the use of the Blue Room being sponsored by Stokes Tea and Coffee, Lincoln.

The day is being attended by local secondary schools who will be invited to listen to the story of Stephen’s death and the significant events following, that have brought about changes to the law. This timeline will be presented in drama by 6thform students from De Aston School, Market Rasen, Lincoln. This will be followed by a Forum Drama presentation by Year 10 drama students again from De Aston school who will be presenting scenarios to challenge the audience and enable discussion to help all present to develop their skills and confidence to challenge all forms of discrimination and to embrace inclusion. Both these drama groups are being led by a 3rdyear community drama student from Bishop Grosseteste University Lincoln.
